How to Play Craps
PASS LINE: A wager made on the Come Out Roll which wins if the first roll is 7 or 11, and loses if the first roll is 2,3 or 12. If the first roll is 4,5,6,8,9, or 10, this is considered the Point. Pass Line wagers win if the Shooter rolls the Point again prior to rolling a 7 and lose if the Shooter rolls a 7 before repeating the Point. The dice are passed to the next Player when the Shooter rolls a 7 before making the Point. A Pass Line wager may not be removed or reduced once a Point is established.
DON’T PASS: A wager that may only be made prior to the Come Out Roll. This wager is opposite the Pass Line in that you lose when the first roll of the dice is 7 or 11 and win if the first roll of the dice is 2 or 3. When the first roll of the dice is 12, it is considered a Standoff – the wager neither wins nor loses. Any other number rolled becomes the Point (i.e., 4,5,6,8,9, or 10) and the Don’t Pass wins if a 7 is rolled before the Point is repeated and loses if the Point is repeated before a 7 is rolled. The Don’t Pass wager may not be placed or increased, but may be removed or decreased after a Point is established.
COME: This wager may be placed by the Player at any time after the Come Out Roll, but may not be removed or reduced after the Come Point is established. The rules for winning and losing are identical to the Pass Line wager. The Come bet wins if, on the roll immediately following the placement of a wager, a 7 or 11 is rolled and loses if a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled. Any other number rolled becomes an established Come Point (i.e. 4,5,6,8,9, or 10) and must be rolled again before a 7 appears for the wager to win; otherwise, the wager loses when a 7 is rolled. The Come Point is independent of the Pass Line Point.
DON’T COME: This wager may be placed anytime after the Come Out Roll. The Don’t Come wager wins if, on the roll immediately following placement of wager, 2 or 3 is rolled and loses if 7 or 11 is rolled. If 12 is rolled, the wager is a Standoff. Any other number rolled becomes an established Don’t Come Point (i.e. 4,5,6,8,9, or 10) which will win if 7 is rolled before the number is repeated and lose if the number is repeated before the 7 is rolled. Don’t Come wagers may be removed or decreased at any time, but may not be replaced or increased after such removal or reduction.
ODDS: A Player may make a supplemental wager on a Pass Line, Come, Don’t Pass, or Don’t Come wager at any time after the Come Out Roll when the Point is established. Winning Odds wagers are paid at true mathematical odds. Come Odds are Off on the Come Out Roll unless designated otherwise by the Player. The Player is responsible for placing Pass Line Odds and keeping track of all bets. We offer 20X odds with a $10,000 maximum.
PLACE BETS: You can make a wager on any of the Point numbers (4,5,6,8,9, or 10). This wager wins if the Shooter rolls your number(s) before a 7 and loses if the 7 is rolled. Place Bets pay different odds depending on the number you place. The 4 and 10 pay odds of 9 to 5, the 5 and 9 pay odds of 7 to 5 and the 6 and 8 pay odds of 7 to 6. Place Bets are Off on the Come Out Roll unless requested working by the Player and may be placed or removed prior to each roll of the dice.
FIELD BETS: A one-roll wager that can be made on the numbers 2,3,4,9,10,11, or 12 on any roll of the dice. All numbers pay even money except the 2 or 12, which pay double. If any other number appears, the bet loses.
All Proposition Bets with the exception of Hardways are one-roll bets. Hardways are Off on the Come Out Roll unless otherwise specified by the Player.
